Priebus Out as Chief of Staff, Replaced with Trump 'Star' John Kelly

President Donald Trump has selected John Kelly as his new White House chief of staff replacing Reince Priebus

President Donald Trump has selected John Kelly as his new White House chief of staff replacing Reince Priebus

Priebus and Scaramucci both traveled Friday with Trump for a crime speech on Long Island in NY. "He has been a true star of my Administration", Trump said of Kelly in a series of tweets Friday. Last year, when a tape emerged of Trump bragging about grabbing women by the genitals, Priebus urged him to drop out of the presidential race.

"Reince Priebus has left it all out on the field, for our party and our country", Ryan said.

He also saluted Priebus, the chief of staff he had just pushed out.

On Thursday, Republican Gov. Scott Walker praised Priebus for helping to bring Foxconn to southeastern Wisconsin.

Reince Priebus is the former Chairman of the RNC.

The demeaning treatment played a role in Priebus leaving. However, he decided on Kelly because he was impressed by the job he had done leading DHS and trusted him not to leak.

Still, his status as a party insider caught the attention of some Trump supporters, including Tea Party leader Jenny Beth Martin.

Scaramucci suggests Trump may veto bipartisan Russian sanctions
The administration has at times demonstrated a willingness to take a tougher tack against Russian Federation via sanctions. Goods produced by North Korea's forced labor would be prohibited from entering the United States, according to the bill.

Mark Green - Trump's nominee for Army secretary, who had served in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, withdrew his name from consideration in May.

"It's time to drain the swamp, not promote insiders beholden to the Washington establishment who helped create it", she said.

Spicer and Priebus came from the Republican establishment and were outsiders, to a degree, in a White House Trump won on his credentials as a political maverick.

As Homeland Security secretary, Kelly has taken the lead on some of Trump's most controversial policies, including his executive orders suspending the admission of refugees and temporarily barring visitors from several Muslim-majority nations.

Mr Priebus became Mr Trump's regular traveling companion and confidant - optimistic until the very end.

"To lose a child is - I can't imagine anything worse than that". But Mr Trump shows no signs of meeting the conditions that James Baker lists for a successful partnership between a president and a chief of staff. Mr Trump is anything but disciplined. "He has served the president and the American people capably and passionately", Ryan continued.

Michael Short - senior White House assistant press secretary, resigned on Tuesday. That brought Trump and Priebus close, but it was never a natural fit - the mild-mannered, careful former Wisconsin Republican Party leader with the Midwestern accent, once critically described as the "nebbish's nebbish", and the flashy, cavalier NY billionaire.
