David de Gea has made it explicitly clear to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that he has no intentions of joining Real Madrid, according to reports from Spain. It had been thought the Spanish giants wanted to land De Gea this summer - but Zinedine Zidane is keen on keeping Navas at the club as his number one after becoming increasingly impressed with his key roles in games and saves at vital moments.
De Gea in his six years at Old Trafford has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the world is a player that Real are desperate to sign.
Navas didn't have a good 2016-17 season, as he cost the team valuable points with countless blunders, but he did turn things around toward the end of the campaign and stood out in the UEFA Champions League final.
