Stan Lee Shares His Thoughts on a Silver Surfer Movie

Chatting with Syfy, Lee shared what his dream Marvel movie would be and it centers around a character that wasn't exactly warmly received in its earlier incarnation.

In the 1968 column, Lee didn't specify which act of bigotry and hate he was writing about, but it was an important year for the rights movement in America.

"He's the one I want to see more. And I have an idea for my cameo in that one!"

There were rumors in 2012 that Marvel was interested in swapping Daredevil for Galactus and his herald, however now that Marvel TV has a strong Daredevil series, it seems like the trade's far from happening.

Confederate Statue in North Carolina Toppled by Protesters
By Wednesday morning, all four of the city's memorials honoring Confederate leaders were taken down. Taney Monument and a statue dedicated to the Confederate Women of Maryland.

Acquiring the Silver Surfer and Galactus would be a very smart move for Marvel though, especially with where the story arcs are going in the cinematic universe.

While Michael Hathoot said: "I'm a 50 yr old fat man and I'm not ashamed to admit Stan Lee is my hero!"

Sadly, its unknown whether we will see him grace the big screen again or not.

Played by Doug Jones and voiced by Laurence Fishburne, the Silver Surfer made his first and only live-action appearance in 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Playing a huge part in the "Infinity Gauntlet" saga from the comic books, the Silver Surfer's absence will surely be felt in the MCU when the Russo brothers bring #InfintyWar to our screens next year. Daredevil reverted to Marvel Studios and the Surfer remains with Fox. With Sony developing its own villainverse with the likes of Venom and Silver and Black, perhaps it is time for Fox to jump on the metal bandwagon to give our chrome crusader another chance.
