Actor Armie Hammer says he nearly chose to say no to "Call Me by Your Name", a coming- of-age gay romancer, as he was nervous about the "nudity" involved in the movie.

One person who isn't buying into the buzz, however, is James Woods.

Based on André Aciman's 2007 novel, Luca Guadagnino's intimate romance follows a teenager in Italy (Timothée Chalamet, 21) who strikes up a relationship with his father's 24-year-old academic assistant (Hammer, 31).

To make his post that much more unpleasant, Woods hashtags NAMBLA (the North American Man Boy Love Association).

As it turns out, the star of "The Lone Ranger" and "The Social Network", who is married to Elizabeth Chambers, wasn't far off.

Hammer responded to the tweet, "Didn't you date a 19 year old when you were 60.?"

Amber Tamblyn is speaking out to reveal how actor James Woods once tried to pick her up when she was only 16 years old.

Fortunately, it doesn't seem as if Hammer will be needing Woods' approval. "I'm 16′ I said". "It made me uncomfortable, it challenged me, and it pushed me".

Call Me By Your Name is set to hit theaters November 24.
