Asus launches Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro in India

Asus has today announced the launch its latest Zenfone 4 Selfie series in India at an event held in New Delhi. It comes with 64GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD. It also comes with a 13MP PDAF rear camera with LED flash. Both the devices will be available exclusively on Flipkart along with exchange offers and 100GB of free data with Reliance Jio.

The ZenFone 4 Selfie with single front camera is priced at Rs. 9999 while the one with dual-lens front camera is priced at Rs. 14999, and the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is priced at Rs. 23999.

Even the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro will feature similar all glass design, just like the remaining portfolio with a 3000 mAh Li-ion battery with rapid charging capability.

The ZenFone 4 Selfie basic edition also comes with a full-metal body and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner along with physical capacitive keys on the front. Under its hood, the smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 430 SoC teamed up with Adreno 505 graphics unit.

The Asus ZenFone 4 will be available in Moonlight White, Mint Green, and Midnight Black colours, while the ZenFone 4 Pro will be available in Moonlight White, Pure Black colour variants. However, the company also launched an affordable Zenfone 4 Selfie with single front facing camera. On the rear panel, there is a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF.

While Asus has also had selfie-oriented smartphones in the past, it has chose to take things up a notch this year by launching three variants of its selfie smartphone range. Both variants of the Zenfone 4 Selfie get triple slots so users can use two SIM cards and microSD card at the same time, instead of swapping a SIM card for microSD card when needed, which is the case with a hybrid SIM setup.

As its name indicates, the two handsets are concentrated on making selfies more fantastic by providing the front dual camera. The processor used by the Pro variant is the Snapdragon 625 SoC and this one is teamed up with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space.

On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 23,999 and it will be available in Rouge Red, Sunlight Gold and Deepsea Black colour options. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. On the storage front, the device offers 32GB of onboard storage that is further expandable up to 2TB via the microSD card slot. The regular ZenFone 4 Selfie has slightly less power and is kept running by a Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. And, there is a combination of a 20MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor with 120-degree wide-angle lens at the front. The smartphone sports with a 5.5 inches AMOLED Full HD display supported by a 2.5D curved glass and Gorilla Glass protection. The device measures 155.66 x 75.9 x 7.85 mm and it weighs 144 grams.

As the name indicates, the Zenfone 4 Selfie is aimed at the selfie enthusiasts as it comes with a dual camera setup at the front for clicking selfies.
