Director Josh Boone has officially announced that the first teaser trailer for New Mutants is set to debut in under 24 hours, which just so happens to mark Friday the 13th on the calendar. In addition to continuing the main thread of X-Men movies, Fox has begun branching out to include spinoffs that don't necessarily fit within the central timeline.
Judging from this first teaser trailer, it sure looks like they've succeeded.
The New Mutants will come to theaters on April 13th, 2018. Reports have suggested Fox is looking to make a younger mark on the X-Men franchise and put its new adolescent heroes in a horror scenario.
Held in a secret facility against their will, five new mutants have to battle the dangers of their powers, as well as the sins of their past.
Great News Today For Anyone With Private Health Insurance
Mr Hunt believes the move will encourage young people to take up private health insurance while helping other policyholders. The ABC reports that insurance premiums have increased by an average 5.6 percent a year since 2010.
In addition to directing, Boone co-wrote the script with Knate Gwaltney (Kidnap, Cardboard Boxer), while X-Men movie vet Simon Kinberg served as producer on the film based on characters created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Bob McLeod. They'll be joined by Alice Braga (I Am Legend) as their mentor Dr. Cecilia Reyes. The actress, who plays Magik, told Hey U Guys that New Mutants would be a different kind of X-Men film but a very faithful one all the same.
The first New Mutants trailer is everything fans could have hoped for, promising a whole world of terror as the Demon Bear's wrath is unleashed.
The New Mutants adapts the monthly comic book series of the same name that launched in 1982.
