According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Rodgers-Cromartie had a conversation with McAdoo on Tuesday and again on Wednesday, when he ultimately made a decision to leave practice shortly after he got there.
McAdoo provided no other details about why Rodgers-Cromartie opted to go home but Art Stapleton of The Record (N.J.) reports that he was upset with his current usage as a slot corner.

Cohen and Cooper will also likely be one of the few, if not the first, openly gay pair to co-host a New Year's Eve show. He exec-produced several of her stand-up specials that premiered on the NBCUniversal cabler in the early 2000s.
It seems possible that despite Apple's struggles and Rodgers-Cromartie's strong play, the Giants could be looking to go back to Apple as a primary perimeter corner-for an 0-5 team, it's certainly common to give younger players more in-game reps, and Rodgers-Cromartie (31 years old) has almost a decade on Apple (22).

On WFAN, NFL Network's Mike Francesa said Rodgers-Cromartie took off his pads at halftime and declared he was done playing, according to the New York Post. The Giants then suspended him.
The Giant, who told ESPN he planned on returning Thursday, said he was suspended before he left.
