Huawei Honor 7X goes official with 18:9 screen, dual camera

Huawei's Honor has today launched a new tablet at a press event in China - Honor Waterplay. The successor to the last year's Honor 6X, the high-end Android smartphone features a large 18:9 display and comes in three variants. It is available in Midnight Black, Aurora Blue and Platinum Gold color variants. The Honor 7X is powered by the Kirin 659 octa-core processor clocked at 2.36GHz and comes coupled with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The new Honor 7X comes in three different variants based on its internal storage configuration: Honor 7X with 32GB internal storage, Honor 7X with 64GB internal storage and Honor 7X with 128GB internal storage. Price starts at 1299 Yuan (roughly Rs 12,868.80) and goes all the way up to 1699 Yuan (roughly Rs 16,829.41) and 1999 Yuan (roughly Rs 19,801.06) respectively, with market availability from October 17. The dual camera setup, in case of the Honor 7X, consists of a 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel setup assisted with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. In terms of software, Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1. Were now looking at a 16MP main camera with a 2MP secondary one along with an 8MP camera on the front.

The device is also IP67 certified, making it water and dust resistant. The Honor 7X also supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot. It is further backed by a 3,340 mAh battery with support for Huawei's in-house SuperCharge fast charging technology. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Fingerprint (rear-mounted) sensor, and Proximity sensor.

Given the Honor 6X was released in India, we expect to see Honor 7X to launch in the country as well. The phones metal body measures 7.6mm thick and weighs 165g.
