Isaiah Thomas not happy with Danny Ainge

After spending more than two season with the Boston Celtics, Isaiah Thomas said he might not ever speak with his former general manager Danny Ainge again.

As for the the trials and tribulations he's referring to, Thomas is talking about his loyalty to the Celtics and helping them reach the Eastern Conference finals despite losing his sister to a auto accident the day before the playoffs began.

Not only did Thomas play through a hip injury that's now expected to delay his Wine and Gold debut until January, according to The Athletic's Jason Lloyd, but he suited up for the Celtics' postseason opener against the Chicago Bulls one day after the death of his sister, Chyna.

If you told someone at the end of last season that Isaiah Thomas would be playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017-18 campaign, they would have thought you were joking, as he seemed to be Boston Celtics through and through.

Furthermore, Thomas added that he had been given "no warning" that he was to be involved in the trade for Irving. Thomas, however, doesn't buy it. He said he would but he couldn't say if Thomas felt the same way. "It still doesn't make any sense".

Reporter: Have you talked to Isaiah beyond the night of the trade? "It's not a trade you make in real life".

Initially, there were clear indications that the point guard and the Celtics fans were unhappy with the trade, but slowly, Thomas accepted he now had to play for the Cavaliers despite everything he had given to Boston. "You don't know what the Celtics are saying to save their ass or what the Cavs are saying for leverage". "He's a great kid and I wish him the best". Ainge says he understands.

Ainge was asked about Thomas' comments while at the team's charity golf tournament.

I don't know. I mean, would try to, but I have no idea. "I know there is a lot of feelings that go on when these type of things happen". "That takes two people and, obviously, he said some things today and has some strong feelings and strong emotions, and I understand those".

However, he likely won't see action with the Cavs until the first of the year as he rehabs a hip injury.
