McLaren reveal the MSO R twins - cxustom LT and LT Spider

"An MSO Personal Commission is the highest level of partnership between a customer and McLaren Special Operations, undertaken to design, develop and create unique interpretations of McLaren cars, expertly tailored to meet the exact requirements of the owner".

"A typical MSO Personal Commission extends beyond paint colors and materials and finishes to encompass changes to body and interior design and also dynamic and powertrain enhancements as required. The result is a McLaren personalized by MSO to become a auto that is literally one of a kind - or in case of these stunning MSO R cars, one of a matched pair". The MSO R Coupe and MSO R Spider are the modern equivalents of the McLaren X-1, the Batmobile-like one-off that made its debut at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Two bespoke McLaren supercars, developed just for you. Badged only MSO R, the coupe and the spider have been lavished with all the best Macca bits and bobs and - we reckon - it's all been done in the best possible taste. The carbon fiber center stripe is a shared design element, as are the rear wing, dive planes, and Papaya Orange exterior details. Finished in black, gloss and satin, to match the respective cars, the five-spoke wheels mimic the 675LT's as well.

Inside, black Alcantara covers the dashboard, contrasted by red bucket seats complete with MSO R embroidery.

Sir Richard Branson promises to build 'revolutionary' Hyperloop train service
Hyperloop One has risen to the forefront of those companies, with another, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, not far behind. Neither has had a smooth ride, however.

The auto is based on the old Super Series McLaren structure - 12C, 650S and 675LT - and runs the most powerful iteration of their 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The steering wheel has a carbon fibre upper and lower, with black Alcantara® grips and a Delta Red centring stripe. A gloss-black finish has be given top the switches and a satin-black one to the air vents. Its 679bhp is just 13bhp up on the 675LT, yet the pair of MSO R engines haven't just had an ECU tweak: there are hand polished heads and exhaust ports, and a unique exhaust system with titanium end pipes.

Both cars are destined for one customer and are technically identical apart from their different lids and accompanying rear sections. A bespoke instrument cluster display with shift lights is also present.
