In the wake of the new trailer for the upcoming film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", Samsung seeks to get in on the action by releasing its limited edition Star Wars-themed vacuum cleaners. This means from a smartphone you can start or stop the machine, schedule cleaning times, and check the cleaning history. The Darth Vader version, for example, makes the breathing sounds so synonymous with the Sith lord.
Samsung introduced a new Star Wars limited edition of the POWERbot robot vacuum cleaner, the VR7000.
A Darth Vader version comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and own remote control, while a Stormtrooper model is designed around the iconic helmet of a soldier of the Empire. Both versions produce sounds associated with their respective character. It's the result of a partnership between Samsung and Star Wars fans. The Darth Vader model mimics the character's infamous labored breather when turned on.
The VR7000 Star Wars limited edition promises all of the powerful cleaning technology and features of the original VR7000, such as suction power capacity of 10 watts, CycloneForce technology, and Edge Clean Master, which helps the unit clean close to walls and edges.
