It's been known for several weeks now that Victor Garber (Martin Stein) will be doing the revival of Hello, Dolly! on Broadway with Bette Midler starting in January; now, Deadline is reporting what many have speculated would happen for a while: The top-billed Garber is leaving DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Actor David Hyde Pierce now plays the part in the hit Broadway revival, starring Bette Midler.
According to the report, there were rumors that Garber would leave the show as Legends of Tomorrow wrapped its second season last spring.
Victor Garber, who plays Dr. His other Broadway credits include ART, DAMN YANKEES, LEND ME A TENOR, NOISES OFF, LITTLE ME and DEATHTRAP.

On Legends of Tomorrow, Garber, whose character was introduced on Flash before segueing to the superhero team-up offshoot, has starred opposite Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Neal McDonough and Dominic Purcell, all series regulars on the current third season.
