Professional sports teams, once among the most loyal customers of Trump Hotels, are finding other luxury places to stay while on the road, in a trend that began as soon as Donald Trump announced his longshot presidential bid in 2015.

The team confirmed to CP24 on Thursday that they will avoid all Trump properties during the upcoming National Basketball Association season. The Washington Post reached out to all teams in those three leagues and the NFL (that's 123 teams altogether) and found at least 16 no longer stay at Trump hotels while on the road. One team, for instance, cited logistical concerns, stating that it was hard to transport the team from one of the hotels to the arena where they were scheduled to play. But some coaches and players have made it clear that Trump's politics definitely factors into their decision to stay elsewhere.
Trump took to Twitter to personally call out Stephen Curry, while uninviting the Golden State Warriors to the White House, even though much of the team has already confirmed they weren't going anyway.

Among the 123 teams in USA baseball, basketball, football and hockey leagues surveyed by The Washington Post, all of the 105 teams that responded said their players no longer stay at Trump Hotels.
The Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings, and Washington Wizards gave up their SoHo habit after Trump was elected, and have other plans for next season.
