Antonio Conte says David Luiz could face a lengthy spell out of the Chelsea squad

It's been a shit few days for David Luiz.

Antonio Conte claims that David Luiz's exclusion from his squad was necessary for Chelsea to be successful against Manchester United.

"The coach has to make the best decision for the team, and tonight the best decision for the team was to play with Christensen and to have, on the bench, (Ethan) Ampadu".

"It's simple", Conte said. Maybe in the future I can decide in a different way, or continue in this way.

"I repeat, I have to put my face in every situation and then to sometimes make important decisions".

"It was only a tactical decision", he insisted.

"It's normal, this can happen to everyone of my players". Today I did this and I think Christensen played a massive game.

Gary Neville believes Chelsea's performance against Manchester United is a clear message to Roman Abramovich that the players are fully behind the manager and want him to stay.

Three equities research analysts have rated the stock with a hold rating and ten have issued a buy rating to the company's stock. The company reported $0.78 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, missing the Zacks' consensus estimate of $0.85 by $0.07.

A second half header from Alvaro Morata saw the Blues record a vital win on Monday morning, keeping pace with the Premier League's top three and now sitting just a point behind Tottenham.

"We are happy now with the global break we can go with three points".

Conte meanwhile will be crossing his fingers hoping that his men avoid injury during games with their respective national teams. "We have to try to use that for the future and hopefully keep the energy up". There were a lot of positive things.

He will be expected to report to training tomorrow afternoon, along with the other Chelsea players not called up by their countries.

"When we play in this way it's great".

He added: "We know that Manchester City is doing really well, winning nearly every game".

Christensen's slow-burn emergence has been one of the key hidden narratives of the season, and so many unanswered questions became a matter of clarity on Sunday.

"Players were surprised that Luiz was left out of an 11 v 11 training game ahead of the visit of Manchester United and was effectively made a ball boy as he and Charly Musonda were left to kick a ball about on the sidelines."
