Eve officially joins 'The Talk' as new host

After a brief guest-hosting stint in October, the daytime talk series has decided to make Grammy-winning artist Eve Jeffers Cooper, known to her fans simply as "Eve", the fifth co-host for Season 8.

The stand-up said she'd simply become too busy to continue her job on the daytime talk show, between three other TV shows and launching another career as a director, which she realized she wanted to devote more attention to.

On Tuesday, CBS announced that the Grammy Award victor will join Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood as a new full-time host.

The Who's That Girl hitmaker officially joined the panel on Tuesday (14Nov17), replacing former co-host and actress Aisha Tyler, who left the show earlier this year (17).

Earthquake: Iran calls off rescue operations as death toll rises to 530
The Iranian Red Crescent said many areas lacked water and electricity and that aid supplies were being hampered by blocked roads. Iranian medical officials announced that several field hospitals have been set up in the quake-hit areas.

Eve is a Grammy-winning artist who's known for the 2002 song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" and her collaborations with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jill Scott, and Dr. Dre.

Though the 39-year-old Pennsylvania native now resides in London with her husband, British entrepreneur Maximillion Copper, and her four stepchildren, the decision to join the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show was simple.

No topic is off limits for Eve, and she's both excited and nervous for her new role, though she's received advice from the cast, especially Underwood. "I feel like the first day of school". I started recording a few months ago. She says, "I am a pretty open book". This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting.

"I'm hoping I gain a new audience." she adds.
