One set, which was a lovely house was constructed for blockbuster Telugu movie Manam, featuring three generations of the Akkineni family.

A massive fire at Annapurna Studios erupted on the sets of "Manam" sending out plumes of black smoke into the air on Monday evening. The sets were said to be empty when the incident took place, the Times of India reported.

Four fire engines were rushed to doused the fire at the studio owned by the family of popular actor Akkineni Nagarjuna in posh Banjara Hills. No casualties are reported yet a financial damage has been reported where two of the shooting sets were burnt.

As of now, the management of Annapurna Studio is maintaining a stoic silence. Another fire officer said a short-circuit may have caused the blaze, though the exact cause is being investigated.
