One-off Mc Laren 720S revealed at Dubai motor show

McLaren's new one-off, gold-covered 720S supercar

Offsetting the satin black finish are gold accents, such as gold-colored alloy wheels, a 24-carat (!) gold engine heat shield and gold-colored interior components.

A plaque inside the auto identifies it as a 1 of 1 MSO commission, a fact also communicated by the unique rear wing that bears part of a quote by McLaren founder, Bruce McLaren which reads "Life is measured in achievement, not in years alone". But the highlight of the vehicle is the rear wing that features a famous Bruce McLaren quote painted in gold Arabic script stylized to resemble the Dubai skyline. To ensure the gold bits really stand out, the auto gets a Zenith Black paintjob with a satin finish.

To personalize the auto added more than 120 hours to the production process. MSO also made the stencils for the gold lettering.

Inside, this unique 720S features black Alcantara and black leather trim further complemented by MSO Defined carbon fibre sill panels, fascia vents and steering wheel, in addition to a regular carbon fibre interior upgrade pack.

McLaren Special Operations has taken the wraps off a rather unique one-off at the Dubai motor show this week, based on its 720S model. McLaren hasn't released the price of this one-off, but it's like to be a case of "if you have to ask, you can't afford it".

Satin gold-painted elements include the extended gearshift paddles, center band to the steering wheel, the spokes, and the door trim.

The car's gone on display at the Dubai International Motor Show, after which it will make its way to the ownership of its wealthy buyer. Based on the new 720S, the company says personalising the auto added more than 120 hours to the production process.

The 720S remains unchanged under the skin, but we doubt the buyer will be left wanting for power - the car's 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces a mammoth 710bhp, with 0-60mph taking well under three seconds.
