Wendy Pepper has died at the age of 53.
Wendy Pepper has died. According to a Washington Post obituary, she died peacefully on November 12 and was surrounded by her family. It's no surprise they brought her back for "Project Runway All Stars" Season 2. Pepper was one of Project Runway's original contestants.
"She was an artist who proudly forged her own path in life", read the commemoration.
The chef and author, who is survived by her only daughter Finley, revealed in a 2012 catch-up interview that she'd been selling her designs in local shops since first appearing on the show.

"We are saddened to hear of the passing of another member of the Project Runway family, designer Wendy Pepper, this year", a representative of Lifetime, which now airs the series, told HuffPost in a statement.
"Her wit and humor were unmatched, as was her generosity of spirit", her obituary states.
Andy Cohen, who was head of development at Bravo when the series aired on the network, expressed his condolences on social media. She won several challenges on the show, including having one of her designs sold at Banana Republic and designing then Access Hollywood host Nancy O'Dell's dress for the Grammy Awards.
