"We weren't flawless", Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said.

Ole Miss (5-6, 2-5) couldn't generate any offense after a promising first half. Senior Damion Ratley had five pass receptions for 111 yards with a touchdown and junior Christian Kirk added five catches for 77 yards.

There was a familiar face in the ESPN announcing booth Saturday night when Ole Miss played host to Texas A&M.

Ole Miss managed just 66 total yards in the second half.

The Rebels started the possession at the 35 after A&M's Braden Mann kicked the ball out of bounds following Starkel's 1-yard game-tying touchdown run.

"The defense did a really nice job in the second half of creating more negative yardage plays", Sumlin said.

Coach Sumlin praises Ole Miss offensively, especially with Jordan Ta'amu taking over at quarterback. "They have some weapons, and at quarterback they haven't missed a beat".

The fourth quarter proved to be a physical pull-and-tug between both teams until the Aggies finally sealed the deal with a 19-yard field goal from LaCamera to extend the lead 31-24 and eventually take the win. The defense took over in the second half of a game that saw 28 points equally split in the first quarter and 45 in the first half. "Too many penalties. We just didn't get it done in the second half".

Starkel, making his third career start, threw for 272 yards and a touchdown as the Aggies improved to 7-4 (4-3 SEC). Texas A&M should provide a tough test for LSU in the regular-season finale next weekend.

A&M had a chance to put the game away with a touchdown on that drive, but lost 5 yards on a bad snap on second-and-goal from the 1.
