Weimar earns second Academic All-District® honor

Following a memorable senior season, Lucy Stevens (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School) earned Academic All-District recognition from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He also earned NE10 Defensive Player of the Week honors following the Skyhawks season-opening win over Bloomsburg (Pa.) University in 2015, also collecting the New England Football Writers Division II/III Gold Helmet Award following the seven tackle performance in which he added an interception, fumble recovery and pass breakup.

The Academic All-District teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. Phanor earned Academic All-District™ honors for the first time after receiving NE10 Academic All-Conference accolades as a junior, while being named to the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll all six semesters at the College, to date, and Athletic Director's Honor Roll status four semesters. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution, have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games and be of sophomore athletic eligibility. He is serving as a team captain this season and has led the Wildcats to a top-10 national ranking and an 8-2 overall record and a 6-1 mark in Big Sky play heading into the regular season finale. He now leads the Bulldogs in catches (48), receiving yards (763) and receiving touchdowns (8).

In his two seasons at Weber State, Vollert has 103 catches for 1,359 yards and 10 touchdowns. Back on September 30, the upstate NY native snared a career-high five receptions in 37-20 victory over Lehigh.

As a CoSIDA Academic All-District® First-Team selection, Pletcher will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot where first, second, and third-team All-America honorees will be selected at a later date.
