The Intex Aqua A4 is being offered at an effective price of Rs 1,999, against the market price of Rs 4,999. Likewise, Micromax previously partnered with Vodafone to announce Bharat 2 Ultra 4G phone, and BSNL to announce Bharat 1.

Airtel now offers total seven 4G smartphones under this initiative. We are delighted to launch the all new Aqua LIONS N1 exclusively under the "Mera Pehla Smartphone" initiative to drive the adoption of 4G smartphones.

Intex Aqua Lions N1 is a dual SIM 4G smartphone, powered by a MediaTek chipset.

The Intex Aqua A4 gets a 4-inch display, Android 7.0 Nougat, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 1,750mAh battery. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.

Airtel notes that the Aqua Lions N1 is actually available at a price tag of Rs 3,799 - this is the market price of the phone. Meanwhile, JioPhone comes at an effective price of Rs "zero"-basically JioPhone comes for free". This translates to an effective price of Rs1,649.

Overall, users end up receiving a total cash back of Rs 1500.

All three phones come bundled with a monthly pack of Rs 169 from Airtel. However, to claim the cashback, they need to do recharges worth Rs. 3,000 within the first 18 months to claim the first Rs. 500 and another Rs. 3,000 over the next 18 months to claim the second installment of Rs. 1,000.

The customer would not be required to return the device to either party to claim the cash benefit, the company said.

Airtel, which has been actively challenging Reliance Jio in every way, has a new OEM partner to offer customers a budget-friendly means to connect to high speed 4G internet without settling for a feature phone. The Aqua S3 is the premium smartphone under the Airtel Mera Pehla Smartphone program. You'll then need to make 36 continuous monthly recharges - wherein the minimum recharge plan should be of Rs 153.
