Apple iPhone X now available unlocked and SIM

Apple starts selling the iPhone X unlocked and SIM-free in the US

iPhone X Goes SIM-Free: Now Available to Purchase in the US

Those of you in Australia can get the same delivery date, again SIM-free, but the fact that the deal has now arrived in the United States as well is significant. If you chose to skip carrier activation at the time of purchase, you'll need to insert an active SIM card or contact a carrier to set up an account. Carriers offer the option to pay the price of the smartphone in monthly installments, but those options aren't available when you buy a SIM-free iPhone X. However, Apple does offer its 24-month special financing program for specific credit card customers. The SIM-free iPhone sold on apple.com and at the Apple Store is unlocked.

Honor 7X: All you need to know about the upcoming smartphone
It is powered by a Kirin 970 processor and comes with the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for improved artificial intelligence. We expect the smartphone to be priced along the same lines as that in China with a starting price of around Rs 12,999.

If you're someone who hates being tied down to carrier contracts and would love to be able to be free to pick and choose whichever carrier you want, then unlocked and SIM-free smartphones are probably right up your alley. In fact all SIM-free iPhone X orders will be delivered by December 12, or in a week with plenty of time before Christmas. But in recent weeks, Apple's shipping estimates have come down to a week or so, and some people who pre-ordered got their iPhone X weeks ahead of schedule.
