Facebook Messenger Games List: Launching New Titles, Video Chat And Livestream Features

Facebook Live can now broadcast Messenger games

Once the broadcast ends, the video will be uploaded to either your Page or Profile depending on where you streamed to.

Messenger now has 70 game titles which are available across the globe, featuring games like Tetris and 8 Ball Pool. If you want to show your friends list how good you are with Everwing - or how much you suck at it - all you need to do is tap that new camera icon in the upper right corner of the game screen to stream on Facebook Live. But it's not about the past, Facebook has loads of new stuff for Games on Messenger.

Instant Games was originally launched to encourage Facebook Messenger users, which now sits at 1.3 billion monthly users, to spend more time on the messaging platform.

Since splitting off from the core Facebook app in 2014, Messenger has expanded beyond being a simple messaging app and now offers everything from making payments to friends, ordering an Uber ride, group video chat and interacting with a wide variety of bots. To start the video users can press the "Start Live Video" button.

Besides the live streaming feature, people will also be able to video chat while playing a game. The feature will allow friends to video chat while simultaneously playing a game against each other. Developed by Coolgames, the company who also developed the recently released Tetris for Messengers Gaming service, Angry Birds will bring all your favourite birds (and pigs) into your chats. The game "Words With Friends" by Zynga will be the first game to use the feature. Sonic Jump from SEGA Games Co. Sonic Jump is rolling out now in select regions and will launch globally in the coming weeks.
