Honor 7X Review: An 'Honor'able mention

The launch of the new smartphone will begin at 8 PM. The phone will go on sale In India from Thursday and will be an Amazon exclusive. In China, Honor 7X with 32GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 12,890), and the 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 16,850). We expect the smartphone to be priced along the same lines as that in China with a starting price of around Rs 12,999. However it is not clear that which variants will be launched in India. The battery on the Honor 7X is 3340mAh battery, and it runs Android 7.0 Nougat with the company's EMUI on top.

The Honor smartphone features a 5.93-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Kirin 970 processor and comes with the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for improved artificial intelligence. It supports expandable memory of up to 256GB via microSD. The only drawback is that the microSD card is built on one of the two available SIM trays. In the near future, Huawei phones will be coming with this feature. The camera can capture Full-HD videos at 30fps and also has other features such as geo-tagging, touch focus. The front of the device has an 8 MP selfie shooter and the fingerprint sensor is placed at the back of the phone.

On the connectivity front, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GLONASS, A-GPS and connects to the computer using a microUSB 2.0 cord.

Huawei's online only brand Honor is expected to introduce its new Honor 7X smartphone for the Indian market.

However, Nintendo is yet to release its Switch in one of the biggest gaming markets. This is the first time Nintendo will allows its games to be run on other platforms.

It is backed by a 3,340mAh battery and has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor; connectivity options are - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, and Global Positioning System.

The launch event will take place at 8pm IST and will be aired live on the company's Facebook page.

The dual-SIM Honor V10 is backed by a 3750mAh battery which the company claims give 23 hours of talktime. The grand prize includes a trip voucher worth Rs 75,000 to seven lucky winners who have registered for the phone.
