Cousins scored 19 points with 11 rebounds, seven assists, five steals, three blocks and three 3-pointers before he was ejected from the game alongside the Golden State forward with 1:14 remaining in the game.
According to Morgan Beard of WVLA Local 33, Cousins reportedly still wanted to go with Durant after their ejections, as the Pelicans center apparently tried to get to the Warriors forward in the hallway before security came to stop a fight from intensifying.
This is the second time in as many games that the Warriors have had a player ejected for one reason or another. In Sunday's win over Miami, Shaun Livingston was tossed and later suspended a game for bumping foreheads with official Courtney Kirkland.
Added Durant: "We're just talking, getting into it". "I have to know that they got all of..."
Much Colder This Week
Strong winds, heavy rain and today's high temperatures (as well as tomorrow's high temperatures) occur overnight. Otherwise, Friday will be cold and generally dry over the northern half of the state with a high in the 40s.
Earlier this week, Kevin Durant was ejected for arguing with a referee in a win against the Orlando Magic.
"I thought he just threw us out pretty quick, to be honest", Durant said after his third ejection over the past 18 games. I make sure it's late in the game if I want to do something.
While the lapse from Durant that forced Kerr to call timeout looked like an extension of the Warriors' brutal second quarter, it was one of the first true mistakes Golden State made after falling behind by 20. I can't let anybody take me off my game. I've been in the league too long. "That's just who he is, I gotta be me".
