Angry supporters of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad shut down educational institutes in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana on Tuesday to protest against E Murali's suicide at the Osmania University on December 3.
After learning about Murali's death, a large number of students gathered near the hostel. They pointed out the difference between Murali's handwriting and the writing in the reported suicide note. Therefore, I have made a decision to end my life."Murali reportedly wrote in his suicide note".
The most important factor, I think, because of which students decide to quit and even sometimes commit suicide, is unemployment. Police resorted to baton charge, resulting in four students suffering injuries. Videos have emerged apparently showing the local police barging into the rooms of students and beating them. In the gathering of thousands of youth and students, condolences to Murali were paid.
Delta Flight Makes Emergency Stop After Plane's Toilets Fill Up
Delta says ground crews rolled a stairway to the airplane so passengers could "disembark to find relief of built-up pressures". The plane had to go to a cargo area because there were no gates available for the plane, the New York Daily News reported .
Osmania University Inspector Ashok Reddy told DC, "We arrested 22 students under several sections of the IPC, including damaging government property". They also demanded that the state government announce a solatium for Murali's family, as well as a government job for a member of the family. Shouting "KCR down, down", students burnt effigy of the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in front of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
However, his fellow students and some political activists claimed Murali had committed suicide because the Telangana government was delaying the issuance of a notification for government jobs. This incident is not the first of its kind.
He added that the University has been facing a huge financial crisis. The students refused to allow the police to shift the body of the deceased E Murali for postmortem, insisting on Rs 50 lakh ex-gratia.
