Xiaomi has won many hearts at home and overseas with its wide range of smartphones.

Xiaomi is set to launch the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones with bezel-less design on December 7.

With a market share of 23.5 per cent and having shipped 9.2 million smart phones in the quarters, the company has become the fastest growing smart phone brand in India with a growth rate of almost 300 per cent year on year, Sunil said. The retailer AliExpress has already listed the smartphone on its website before its launch with the price. However, the seller's connection with the actual company Xiaomi is not verified. The Redmi 5 Plus is listed at $249.99 (approx Rs Rs 16,000) and the Redmi 5 at $199.99 (approx Rs 12,000). It will possibly launch in two variants of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. There's a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model as well, which comes at Rs 6,999. The pricing of these variants will naturally be higher. Both the devices are also expected to be available in Black, Blue, Pink and Gold colour options.

The Redmi 5 Plus is expected to be bigger than this. The smartphone is listed to run Android 7.1.2, tipping an MIUI 9 build out-of-the-box.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A is a "Made in India" smartphone and the successor to the Redmi 4A.
