Booking for the Apache RR 310 starts by the end of December and the company intends to sell 10,000 units of it in January 2018.
After a wait of nearly two years since the Akula concept was unveiled, TVS has finally launched the manufacturing version called the TVS RR 310 in India. Our endeavour is to fulfill the aspirations of discerning customers by offering high-quality, technologically-innovative products.
"We are confident that customers will find it to be a flawless combination of racecraft technology and riding dynamics", TVS Motor Company Joint Managing Director Sudarshan Venu said. TVS Motor's entry into the new segment comes four years after a tie-up agreement between the Indian motorcycle major and Germany's BMW Motorrad. TVS Apache RR 310 Flagship Sports Bike has been the long-awaited model.
At the heart, the Apache RR 310 is powered by the same 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor derived from the BMW G 310 R. Power and torque figures are the same as well, however, they are generated at 200rpm higher in the rev range.

The woman also alleged that the company did not inform her of taking any action against the driver. It said the customer has been asked to lodge a formal complaint with the authorities.
TVS claims that the decades-long racing experience of TVS Racing has been used to develop the Apache RR 310 while the pilot tests have been conducted with real users whose feedback on the development and performance of bike were satisfying.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is equipped with a race-inspired vertical speedo-cum-tachometer with 18 racing tell-tale diagnostics, and a comprehensive post-ride analysis. The Thermal Management System on the motorcycle is fitted with a special gill profile to shield the rider's leg from engine heat, and aids better heat dissipation.
The vehicle has race spec KYB suspension and both anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic fuel injection (EFI) system will be available as standard.
In terms of pricing, rivals to the TVS Apache RR 310 include the Mahindra Mojo (Rs 1.91 lakh), Bajaj Dominar 400 (Rs 1.60 lakh) and KTM 250 Duke (Rs 1.96 lakh).
