Maroney reportedly meant to read her letter out loud for the court before Nassar's sentencing but instead made a decision to sent her account directly to the MI judge who will be sentencing Nassar on Thursday.

"He should never have access to children again", Judge Neff said during court proceedings, per MLive.

He was sentenced to 20 years on each of three counts, to be served consecutively.

Olympians Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney and Gabby Douglas say they were victims when Nassar worked for USA Gymnastics and accompanied them at workouts or global events. He has pleaded guilty to 10 sexual assault charges and will be sentenced next month.

Nassar's attorneys had asked the federal judge for leniency in court filings, arguing Nassar had helped fellow inmates and taken Bible classes since his arrest almost a year ago, the State Journal said.

While executing a search warrant at his home in Holt, south of Lansing, MSU police discovered external hard drives with more than 37,000 images and videos of child pornography that had been thrown away in Nassar's garage can in front of his house on trash collection day.

"Underneath this veneer lurked a predator", Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean Lewis said in a court filing.

New Blaze Erupts In Wildfire-Plagued Southern California
Residents living west of I-405 should brace for evacuations, in case flames jump the freeway, officials said earlier on Wednseday. The Thomas fire is by far the biggest and most widespread of them, having reportedly burnt up more than 60,000 acres of land.

The videos included footage from a pool with Nassar swimming with several children, according to testimony from an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent a year ago. As part of a deal with federal prosecutors to obtain his guilty plea, prosecutors agreed they would not charge him with alleged sexual exploitation of children in relation to four reported victims. He faces sentencing in those cases in January. Each offense will come with a minimum of 25 to 40 years of prison time and a maximum of a life sentence.

In federal lawsuits, more than 140 women or girls have accused Nassar of assaulting them, often during medical appointments.

Former Olympian McKayla Maroney is still seeking justice against Larry Nassar, the disgraced former USA Gymnastics doctor that, according to Maroney, sexually abused her for years.

However, it appears none will speak at Nassar's sentencing today. "We were told he's the best doctor, he's the United States Olympic doctor and the USA Gymnastics doctor, and we were very lucky we were able to see him".

He started working at MSU, his alma mater, in 1997.

Olympians McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas are among those who have said Nassar assaulted them. "After McKayla spoke with an investigator with USA Gymnastics in July 2015, USA Gymnastics and the USOC kept the knowledge of [Nassar's] status as a child molester secret from Michigan State University after 2015 and even said nothing when he ran for school board in his local school district!" Women accused Nassar of assaulting them at a campus clinic at Michigan State, at local gyms across the country, at the Karolyi Ranch outside Houston, and at worldwide competitions around the globe, including the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney, and the 2012 Summer Games in London. MSU fired him in September 2016.
