Dark Souls Remastered Nintendo Direct

FROM SOFTWAREDark Souls Remastered could be revealed at the Nintendo Direct

Well, contrary to the Bioshock remasters, Dark Souls Remastered will be a separate product.

Switch isn't the only platform that the game will be coming to, as Dark Souls Remastered will also be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Furthermore, there are rumors that suggest the game's multiplayer modes will be expanded to incorporate six concurrent players. Dark Souls players will likely appreciate the ability to play through the entire series on one console, especially with all of the DLC. While the Switch version could conceivably address that level of difficulty by toning it down, somehow we suspect that Dark Souls Remastered will be just as hard to master as the original.

FromSoftware's original Dark Souls is getting a remaster later this year, letting everyone practice their rolling and get used to the unforgiving combat in high definition.

Per usual, leaks like this would be taken with a grain of salt. However, there will be a great discount for all PC owners of the original game. The report claims part of the reason why the two will be announced separately (other than timing) is because a different company will be handling the Switch port. Laura Kate Dale has also claimed that the Nintendo Direct will air in the "next 2-3 hours", so we won't have long to find out.
