'Dark Souls' to receive a remastered edition and Nintendo Switch port

On the Nintendo Switch Dark Souls Remastered runs at 1080p 30 FPS on docked mode and 720p 30 FPS on portable mode. Dark Souls Remastered, probably in the top percentile of requested PC games given the state of the original version on PC and its popularity, is apparently one of several announcements due at a secret Nintendo Direct due to broadcast today. Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III have already been released for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, with a trilogy box set already announced for Japanese PlayStation 4 owners, per Twinfinite.

On Thursday, January 11, Namco Bandai confirmed that a remastered version of Dark Souls is making its way to the current crop of consoles in 2018.

We've confimed this means an upscaled 4K resolution and it will run at 60 fps. Apromexitly in 4 months, we can play the original Dark Souls at 4k with a PC or we can play it on a plane with the Nintendo Switch.
