Dark Souls Trilogy Not Planned for Release in the West

One of our sources indicates that Bandai Namco plans to bring all three Dark Souls games to Switch eventually, but the oft-rumoured "trilogy" bundle is not how this will be happening - yet. Dark Souls: Remastered will finally give fans a more polished look at the first game in the trilogy, and invite Nintendo fans into the fold for the first time.

True or not - and we're leaning, heavily, true - we should know in the next few hours.

Yesterday, during Nintendo's mini Nintendo Direct, Dark Souls: Remastered was announced for the Nintendo Switch; thus, many fans rejoiced over the chance to suffer on the go.

Dark Souls: Remastered launches on Steam on May 25. According to RPG Site, the From Software title will hit 1080P while docked, and maintains a steady 30 FPS.

We've confimed this means an upscaled 4K resolution and it will run at 60 fps.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe S.A.S. part of BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc.is a leading global publisher and developer of interactive content for platforms including all major video game consoles, PC and mobile. However, that excitement may now be diminished for the PS4 crowd, as it has just revealed there was one fairly significant mistake made in the post: contrary to what was initially stated, the PS4 Pro version of Dark Souls: Remastered won't feature HDR Lighting. In the original Dark Souls game, gamers could play online with 1 to 4 players but with the remastered version, gamers can play online with 1 to 6 other players.
