Oreo update for locked carrier variants should arrive soon. Xiaomi has put a halt on the Android 8.0 Oreo rollout temporarily but as per reports the company will release a new update in a "couple of weeks". HTC 10 users can check for the update in Setting menu.

Back in August, HTC promised that Oreo would come to the U11, U Ultra, and 10.

HTC is one of the companies that still delivers major Android OS update despite its financial difficulties.

The Android 8.0 Oreo update has been released as an over the air update for the handset, it only appears to be available for the unlocked version of the smartphone so far. Other than that, the update is expected to include the latest Android security patch as well.

HTC 10 was launched in April 2016 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Xiaomi brought its first Android One powered handset, the Xiaomi Mi A1 to India previous year. The HTC 10 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and features a 5.2-inch QHD super LCD display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution. A standard 3,000mAh non-removable battery runs the entire package and it also features a front-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In the camera department, the HTC 10 bears a 12MP primary camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera enabled with autofocus and OIS.
