Oprah Winfrey Delivers Fiery Speech at Golden Globe Awards

If she did choose to run, she would square off against President Donald Trump.

Oprah Winfrey drew a lot of praise and inspiration from numerous people after a lengthy speech during the Golden Globes event this year. Spielberg, in London to promote his new movie The Post, said: "If she declares, I will back her". "I like Oprah. I don't think she's going to run".

Naturally, Twitter had quite a bit to say about Trump's confident stance.

Oprah made headlines after a speech she gave at the Golden Globe awards sparked speculation that she would run for president in the 2020 election.

Sixty-four percent of respondents have a favorable view of Winfrey, including 43 percent of Trump supporters, according to the NPR, PBS NewsHour and Marist survey.

"By the end of her speech, the Winfrey had blended her rags-to-wealth-and-fame story into exhortations of press freedom, justice for sexual assault victims, and the contributions and sacrifices of maids, farm workers and others, saying to girls all around the world: "... "I thought, oh gee, I don't have the experience, I don't know enough, and now I'm thinking, "oh".

Now in terms of policies, there is the difficulty I think because while she is a very unique figure in terms of her charisma, she is a very conventional figure in terms of her policies. I mean, she's popular, she's brilliant, she's a wonderful woman'.

What she said that night was extraordinary and strong, and it displayed her immedicable leadership ability. I also know that after years of watching The Oprah Winfrey Show, you always have the right to change your mind.

Streep was also asked to delineate her thoughts on the #MeToo and Time's Up movements.
