Five people were killed in a fiery, multi-vehicle crash involving a stolen auto along a major road in Suffolk County on Long Island Wednesday.
Three autos and a home warming oil truck crashed in the 11:20 a.m. crash at Woodlot and Middle Country streets in Ridge, sources said. The violent chain-reaction crash spread debris all over the road late Wednesday morning in the hamlet of Ridge.
Police said the Camaro was stolen from Shirley on Tuesday and police were tracking the vehicle with the help of OnStar before the auto fled from the Lake Point apartment complex at a high rate of speed.
He said the Camaro and Mazda were heading eastbound and the truck was westbound. The Mazda struck an Infiniti.
