Speaking last week, White said: "Floyd said leading up to the fight with Conor that he would do both [boxing and MMA]".
"'Buster' Douglas was only 42-1 (against Mike Tyson)".
"We went over and boxed him, the UFC and Conor McGregor, and now it's time for him to reciprocate and come and fight in the Octagon".
Still the financial windfall that Mayweather could make from a rematch with McGregor would keep him in million dollar houses, cars and watches for a few more years so anything seems possible these days.
Like most, Rogan admits the possibility is a bit ridiculous - but maybe just insane enough to work. During the podcast, Rogan also threw the name of UFC fighter and former wrestler CM Punk.
"Unbelievable accomplishments; 50-0. I don't care if the last fight was Conor McGregor".
"That said, Floyd Mayweather is the greatest boxer, maybe of all-time - at least on paper he is".

So given that Mayweather is clearly still sensitive about certain subjects he might be upset to hear that it is rapidly becoming a matter of when, not if, a fighter from Thailand surpasses the historic 50-0 mark he reached by beating an Irish debutant called Conor McGregor. He's on another level of everyone who is on another level.
"Can Floyd fight the same way he does with gloves, with MMA globes?" He's had some serious surgeries on his hands.
McGregor lost to Mayweather in a boxing match previous year but there's been talk a rematch could be on, this time in the Octagon. But he hasn't had hand problems in a while.
Is it going to happen?
"We all know that a boxer only makes money when he's boxing".
In an interview with boxing insider Jody Kohn (via Bloody Elbow), Jeff Mayweather hinted about the possibility of his nephew facing CM Punk first in MMA before going on to a rematch with McGregor. Mayweather is undefeated in the boxing ring as is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, which would lead one to believe he could finish Punk easily - despite the size advantage. So it would be, I think, such a straight, easy fight that we could train realistically for it and then do a competitive MMA fight on the backend of it. Floyd might be willing to do it.
"So I think it's one of those ones we could squeeze in getting ready for a fight". I think if Conor gave five, six months for a training camp.
