The C-Class is able to drive semi-autonomously in certain situations.
Although it shares much of its interior design with other Benz models, the C-Class misses out on the integrated widescreen display that debuted in the S-Class and recently made its way into the new A-Class, nor does it get the all-new "MBUX" multimedia system. Freshening it up will be critical at a time when more and more buyers are shifting from passenger cars to SUVs and CUVs. However, the charges on the Mercedes news pursue with the company unveiling the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Facelift estate and sedan.
All derivatives get new front bumpers with either silver, chrome or three-part chrome trim strips for Standard, Avantgarde and Exclusive trim lines respectively, while the sportiest AMG-Line now gets a diamond grille as standard.
The new AMG G63 performs even better when off-road thanks to the AMG ride control suspension, which has been completely redesigned by Mercedes-AMG and features coil springs all-round. The standard display is 7.0 inches, but owners can opt for a larger 10.25-inch display, neither of which are touch-capable. The facelifted 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will go on sale in the United States by late 2018.
2019 Mercedes-AMG G63
The new C-Class is getting some of the tech upgrades that have been trickling down the Mercedes portfolio. This engine is already available in other models from Mercedes-AMG and it replaces the 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 motor that was available in the previous G63. A nine-speed automatic and a rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will premiere in the metal at the Geneva Motor Show.
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C-Class interior gets a variety of options, including a choice of two video screens to monitor vehicle functions. The vehicle's surroundings are scanned by radar across a distance of up to 820 feet to the front, 130 feet to the sides, and 260 feet to the rear, while with the camera a range of up to 1,640 feet is possible to the front, including 295 feet in 3D. That allows a driver to briefly take hands off the wheel on many well-marked limited access roadways. Tapping the turn signal, meanwhile, will trigger the C-Class to make a pass automatically.
