While it was launched at Rs. 36,999, the Nokia 8 will be now sold for just Rs. 28,999.
The Nokia 8 is HMD Global's first flagship smartphone, launched back in October 2017 with a metal unibody design and comes with a 5.3-inch IPS-LCD panel with Quad HD resolution. According to reports, these revised prices will be effective starting today, February 1. The price cut has not been confirmed by the company yet and it is also not sure if it is permanent or for a limited period of time. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, which is paired with 3GB of RAM. There is also option up to 256GB expandable storage using a microSD card. The new pricing is already in effect and the likes of Amazon.in are offering the phone with the revised price-tag.
In terms of connectivity, the Nokia 5 has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Speaking about the Nokia 8, the phone's powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC which is laced with 4 GB RAM.
Nokia 5 features 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has a dual tone flash and the front camera is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture as well.

In the camera department, the Nokia 8 offers dual rear cameras featuring 13MP RGB sensor and 13MP Monochrome sensor with Zeiss optics lens. For connectivity, Nokia 8 includes a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, 4G LTE, 3.5mm audio port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Global Positioning System. The phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
On the front side, there's a 13-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and 78.4-degree wide-angle lens.
Recently, the company also released the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update for this smartphone.
The attraction for the phone is it's "Bothie" feature, which allows you to use both the front and the rear Camera's together.
The Nokia 8 is also splash-proof, thanks to the IP54 certification. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, and offers connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB type C-port.
