India's first ever female superstar, Sridevi, has passed away in Dubai on Sunday, reports ANI.
Sridevi was in Dubai to attend the marriage function of actress Sonam Kapoor's cousin Mohit Marwah, along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. Elder daughter Janhvi was in Mumbai at the time due to the shooting of her upcoming debut film. Very saddened and pained about her demise. After appearing in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films, Sridevi eventually made her Bollywood debut in 1978.
When she became a mother for the first time with daughter Janhavi, she went away from the movie business.
The news was confirmed to HuffPost by a member of the actor's family.
Sanjay, however, could not reveal more details as he was on his way to Dubai.
Duke's Bagley III to return after four-game absence
Bagley, who has started 24 games this season, last game before Saturday was at North Carolina on February 8. The Orange have won their last two meetings with the Blue Devils (64-62 in 2016 and 78-75 last year).
Expressing shock over the news, Riteish tweeted, "Terrible awful news".
It is a Black Day in Bollywood with her sudden death. She took the Filmfare award thrice during her glorious career and was awarded the second highest civilian honour of the country, Padma Shri in 2013.
Sridevi was 55. Her last film was Mom with Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Sridevi's most memorable onscreen pairing was with her real-life brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, while her most successful films were produced by husband Boney Kapoor. Totally shocked by this really sad news. We pray that her soul rests in peace.
