Aamir shared a photo of his mom and captioned it stating, "The person because of whom I am who I am". IANS had reported recently, that it was due to Aamir's growing fanbase in countries like China, Turkey, Taiwan and Russian Federation that the actor chose to finally join the photo-video sharing app.

Interestingly, Aamir is yet to post his first picture on Instagram, but that hasn't deterred his fans from following him on the photo sharing platform. Without a single post for over 12 hours, Aamir managed to pull in above 244 thousand followers, including his Dangal co-star Sanya Malhotra and actress Dia Mirza. And he wants to keep it something very personal, very close to his heart. Aamir had tweeted dismissing a fake Instagram account operating in his name.
