In his first public appearance since a jury found Percoco guilty of taking $300,000 in bribes, the governor was seen holding notes that said "Personal sad SHOCK-FAMILY, 2 young daughters" and "Viol everyth ADM Believes, Not who we R".
Sayreville, N.J., school board president Kevin Ciak told The Wall Street Journal that students who walked off of school property would receive two-day detentions. He said, if Percoco was doing more than that, then it was wrong.
"In the last 24 hours, there have been several reports of New York State schools disciplining students and faculty for participating in yesterday's historic events to stop gun violence".
Critics have said the evidence shows a "pay-to-play" culture in the Cuomo administration.
"When he left state government he would come back into the office to handle transition matter", Cuomo said.
Trial testimony revealed that Percoco remained a fixture of executive branch offices even after resigning his position in the Cuomo administration to take over the governor's re-election campaign.
Cuomo called criticisms that suggest he was responsible for Percoco's actions "political garbage".

"The only "aberration" is that Governor Cuomo thinks this is somehow isolated, when in fact his administration is shrouded in a cloud of corruption", Molinaro said in a statement.
Sen. John DeFrancisco, who also is a Republican candidate for governor, called Cuomo's explanation "preposterous".
DeFrancisco noted evidence at trial showed Percoco made more than 800 phone calls over more than 60 days he spent in the office when he was managing Cuomo's campaign and off the government payroll.
"These actions send a awful message to New York's children and are against constitutional free speech protections". This was a two-year trial-slash-investigation.
Asked about reforms and the evidence at trial, Cuomo said people who work in government should not be able to get paid by outside employers.
"There was absolutely no suggestion ever made that I had anything to do with anything", Cuomo told CBS2's Kramer. It was an exhaustive investigation, and exhaustive trial, and there was never suggestion about any involvement by me.
Irene Stein, the Tompkins County Democratic chair and longtime head of the Democratic Rural Conference, emphasized that Cuomo wasn't accused of wrongdoing.
