Now, the Academy Award victor is finally getting his chance and will voice the hero in the upcoming Teen Titans GO! to the Movies (via USA Today). A singer named Halsey will be Wonder Woman, a rapper named Lil Yachty will play Green Lantern, and a renowned spoon-player named Nicolas Cage will play Superman.
Having moved through pre-production with a script and casting all wrapped up, the film was cancelled just before shooting started - leaving Nicholas and his infamous Superman skinsuit on the comic book crossover trash heap. He was in talks to play the Scarecrow in Joel Schumacher's unmade Batman Unchained, he left the role of Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, and was once attached to Constantine and Iron Man comic book adaptations. And after seeing some pre-production images of Cage in the suit, most fans are glad Burton's vision got torpedoed. Cage and two others have joined the Teen Titans movie cast.
Buhari will negotiate with Boko Haram to release 110 schoolgirls
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson , who was in Nigeria for the last stop in a week-long tour of African countries. We hope that something can be worked out and they can secure the release of these girls quickly, " he said.
Cage has claimed in the past that the version of Superman Lives that people now see in their imaginations when they picture the movie is far better than it would have been in practice. The development and cancellation of the infamous project was chronicled in the documentary The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? in 2015.
Teen Titans GO! to the Movies stars Scott Menville as Robin, Hynden Walch as Starfire, Tara Strong as Raven, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Will Arnett as Slade Wilson and Kristen Bell as Jade Wilson. It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them.
