Pentagon: Mattis has Spoken With Trump About Border Wall Funding

US President Donald Trump talked with his defence secretary yesterday to discuss how the military budget might fund the construction of a wall on the Mexican frontier.

This follows an episode of the president's recent social media blunder on Twitter where he posted photos of what appeared to be construction on the border wall accompanied by the words: Great briefing this afternoon on the start of our Southern Border WALL!

Early the following morning, Trump, who has been known to watch Fox on DVR, tweeted that "because our Military is again rich", the government should "build WALL through M!"
