Former WWE NXT Champion Makes His Return To Raw

There was little need for McIntyre to continue wrestling in NXT.

In fact, after being released in 2014, the Ayr man went out and made his name everywhere but WWE and eventually found his way back in WWE past year - where he quickly won the NXT Championship.

McIntyre hasn't wrestled since losing the NXT title to Andrade "Cien" Almas at NXT TakeOver: WarGames in November.

After two months without it, Apollo Crews returned to using his full name tonight on Raw.

Ziggler comes from SmackDown while Drew comes from WWE NXT, making his return from injury.

Mark Hughes slams Marcus Alonso for attempting to break Shane Long's leg
It could've broken his leg. "There were three officials within five to 10 yards so how each of them missed it is a mystery to me". Alonso is likely to face retrospective action after stamping on Long's calf in the first half at St Mary's.

On the first night of the Superstar Shakeup, Dolph Ziggler switched brands to Raw. In 2009 and 2010, McIntyre held the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Dolph Ziggler was one of those stars, but as he was cutting his promo, he was interrupted by Titus Worldwide.

WrestleVotes reports that McIntyre is in town for the Superstar Shake-Up so this should be interesting.

I thought McIntyre would be SmackDown bound, personally, but I love the fact that he's back on the main roster.
