Manchester City has won the Premier League title, following second-placed Manchester United's 1-0 defeat on Sunday evening to bottom side West Bromwich Albion.

However, Guardiola's side did win the Carabao Cup by beating Arsenal at Wembley.

Following the win, West Brom occupy the last league spot with 24 points and are set to face Mohamed Salah's Liverpool on the 21st of April. Guardiola's side became the first team to win 14 successive English top-flight games in a single season, prompting United manager Jose Mourinho to concede the race was probably over before Christmas. This result leaves City 16 points clear of their local rivals with only five games remaining, making it mathematically impossible for United to catch them.

West Bromwich Albion can expect a hard test against a Manchester United attack that boasts plenty of pace and power, goalkeeper Ben Foster said ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash at Old Trafford. Eight titles. Three Premier League.

And then West Brom, the worst team in the league, went and scored.

The Citizens only needed one more win to secure the title following their win over Tottenham Hotspur, but the Red Devils' loss to West Brom means they have now mathematically secured the title.

But the blues answered those questions in style and, even though City were fortunate with the penalty, they were deserved winners and now look to West to clinch the league for them.
