It has also been reported that Ford will be offering the first 100 units of the Freestyle on Amazon India starting April 14. Meanwhile, Ford dealerships have already started taking bookings for the new model.

According to a media report, Ford is set to launch the Freestyle on April 18, 2018. The booking amount of Rs 10,000 can be paid by customers through the Amazon's payment options either on the dedicated brand page or through Amazon's mobile application.

The Ford Freestyle features typically crossover-like exterior changes over the hatchback - including a new bonnet, grille, skid plate, alloys and blacked-out headlamps. "From everyday things to high-value purchases like mobile phones, they are buying everything online". As nice as the vehicle is, we can only watch and envy as it does not look like Ford has any plans to bring it over to the US. Ford motor company has published pictures of the most affordable version of the Focus hatchback of the new generation in the base Trend.

Sir Cliff Richard arrives to give evidence against BBC in High Court
A BBC spokesman has said that the BBC had reported Sir Cliff's "full denial of the allegations at every stage". The 77-year-old singer has sued the BBC over coverage of the raid - which followed a sex assault allegation.

The Ford Freestyle is powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine producing 95bhp and 120Nm of torque, while the diesel variant gets the 1.5-litre TDCi engine churning out a class-leading 100bhp and 250Nm of peak torque.

The one slight concern is that cheaper variants of the new vehicle will have a less sophisticated rear suspension setup than today's model; only 1.5-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel models will get a fully independent set-up. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine generates 99bhp at 3,750rpm and 205Nm of torque between 1,750-3,250 rpm. A five-speed manual is standard on both engine options, although the petrol will get an automatic option, at a later date. It would also get the Ford's award-winning 6.5-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with voice commands, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Even the base variant (Ambiente) gets a safety kit with ABS with EBD, dual-front airbags, three-point rear seat belts, reverse parking sensors and rear fog lamps. Also on offer will be a segment first Active Rollover Prevention (ARP).
