Oklahoma President Boren has minor stroke at Stoops ceremony

Oklahoma revealed the statue of Stoops before its annual spring game.

OU Representatives said Boren suffered from a minor stroke.

Officials said that Boren was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City as a precautionary measure. He was described as alert and communicating with his family and medical team Saturday evening. Right before the uncovering of the statue, paramedics made their way to Boren and talked to him near the podium where athletic director Joe Castiglione was speaking.

OU President David Boren was taken to the hospital Saturday morning after suffering a minor stroke. "President and Mrs. (Molly) Boren deeply appreciate the outpouring of love and support they have received".

Anushka Sharma beams with joy as Virat Kohli led RCB defeats KXIP
We could clearly see the joy and the excitement on her face as she blew flying kisses to Virat as he and his team won the match. However, Kohli also lauded Umesh Yadav (Man of the Match for 3 for 23), Washington Sundar and Chris Woakes for their bowling.

Boren seemed to slur his words near the end of his nine-minute speech before the dedication of the Stoops statue just south of Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. "Everything's going to be okay", said Castiglione.

The school's board of regents announced last month that James Gallogly will become the university's 14th president on July 1. The expected-to-be-cheerful ceremony honored the former coach, who retired from Oklahoma during the summer of 2017. I saw they were going to put him on the stretcher and maybe perhaps take him to further observe and evaluate his condition.

It seems unthinkable now, after Stoops' almost two decades of success, including 10 Big 12 titles, a National Championship and 190 victories, that there was a time when the University of Oklahoma wasn't that good at football.
