A detailed forensic report will be provided by the Fire Arms and Tool Marks (FATM) Department of PFSA after completing the analysis of the submitted evidence.

Following the incident, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar visited the residence of Justice Ahsan and called Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Arif Nawaz Khan to probe the incidents.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi condemned the incident and directed the authorities concerned at the federal and provincial level to bring the culprits to task at the earliest.

The chief justice is monitoring the situation and keeping an eye on developments related to the firing incident.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan took to Twitter to condemn the incident. He said that additional security has been provided to the Supreme Court judge.

According to the initial investigation report issued by the police, at around 10.45PM on April 14, Shift In Charge Pakistan Rangers VIP Venue Naik Abdur Razzaq reported that a stray bullet hit the upper collar of the main gate of a house in H Block Model Town in Lahore.

Ameer Jamaat e Islami (JI) Pakistan Siraj ul Haq while deploring the attack said no tactics aimed to pressurise or frighten the judiciary would succeed.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry.

"All stake holders should ensure secure environment for effective functioning of the state institutions and continue the efforts to consolidate improving peace and stability", the chief of Inter Services Public Relations said in a statement.

Saqib Nisar has requested the legal fraternity to attend the courts tomorrow for the sake of dispensation of justice to litigants whose cases were already fixed for hearing on Monday in different courts.
