Honor 7C expected to launch in India on May 22

The Redmi Y2 will be the same Redmi S2 that was launched in China. Honor India has just sent out invites for an event on May 22 where the 7C is expected to be announced.

Honor is one of the few major handset makers that has yet to introduce its first 2018 flagship to the global audience. The smartphone is expected to be priced at $249 (approximately Rs 16,200).

Honor 10 features a notch style display similar to what we have seen on the Huawei P20 Lite.

Huawei's subbrand Honor is not in a mood to stop. With Honor 10, it will be trying to compete with OnePlus, which remains the most popular brand in the mid-range premium segment. The launch event of the Honor 10 is scheduled to take place in London at 2 PM BST, which is 6:30 PM IST.

Our man Nimish is at the event right now and will be tweeting live from the event. The company is using the hashtag #BeautyInAI to promote the device, which gives clear hint that there will be a lot of talk about AI being fused into camera and UI elements. Coming to the specifications, the Honor 10 will boast of the same hardware and software setup as the Chinese variant.

The device also seeks to push the company's aesthetic sensibilities, with a CMF design 3D glass back that's made up of 15 layers of shimmering colour. For worldwide markets, Honor is anticipated to supply the smartphone just in Mirage Purple and Mirage Blue color.

It will most likely sport a 5.99-inch display with a 1440×720 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Honor has been heavily marketing Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is used for biometric authentication on the Honor 10 smartphone.

It comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants and includes a MicroSD card for expanding the storage up to 256GB. In terms of optics, the device comes with a 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. 16 and 24-megapixel cameras (RGB and monochrome lenses, respectively) are included on the back of the phone, while a single 24-megapixel camera sits on its front side. The Honor 7A was launched in China with a dual camera setup and Android Oreo last month which also had some significant bezels on the top and bottom parts of the phone. It will offer connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and 4G LTE.
