After months of talk surrounding its troubled production, from the original directors being fired to an acting coach being hired, it's now time for people to see exactly what Solo: A Star Wars Story delivers.
The film debuts in Mexico, China, Spain, India, Poland, South Africa, Turkey, and Vietnam on Friday, along with its domestic launch. The tally exceeds the previous $13.2 million record held by Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (which finished with the $139.8 million four-day record, or $153 million when including Thursday) and comes in just behind the $14.5 million from Thor: Ragnarok, which finished the three-day holiday weekend with $122.7 million.
